About Us SoundPost Youth Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to create a platform for its youth to utilize his/her talents - musical or otherwise - and interact with the community. SoundPost assists these students’ developments by providing various activities for them to participate in, and in encouraging them to be independent and recognize their strengths. Through this community engagement and outreach program, SoundPost hopes that its members will gain self-confidence, face challenges bravely, be resourceful, give generously and establish a foundation for a well-rounded life. The Meaning of SoundPost A soundpost is a small rod that can be found inside some string instruments. Although it is invisible to the eye, it is a very important part of the instrument, even sometimes referred to as the instrument’s soul.

Chancie Chou Chancie is a senior at Lynbrook High School. She has studied piano with Miss Rose Chen for nine years, and she plays French horn and mellophone in the LHS Marching Band. In her free time, she enjoys composing music and sewing dresses!

Helen Wu ​ Helen Wu is a 17-year-old senior at Lynbrook High School, and she has been playing piano since she was 6. In addition to music, she also loves photography, reading, and traveling with her family.

Wesley Chen Wesley is a senior at Lynbrook High School. He has been playing violin for 8 years and piano for 10. He also loves animals, reading about history, and good food!

Nathan Cheung Nathan Cheung is a senior at Bellarmine College Preparatory. He plays violin and piano and sings in his school choir. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, creating 3D designs, drawing, and running cross country.

Claire Ma Claire Ma is currently a senior at Monta Vista High School. She was a former violin player and has a huge interest in art as she loves to be creative and imaginative every moment of her life.

Charisse Chao Charisse Chao is a junior at Lynbrook high school. She has been playing violin since the age of five, and also plays the piano. She likes to sleep in her free time.

Veronica Kuo ​Veronica Kuo is a senior at Monta Vista High School. She has been playing the cello for 7 years and the piano for 10 years. Veronica also enjoys cooking in her free time.
David Chen David Chen is a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School. He has been playing cello for around 5 years, and his hobbies include martial arts and reading.
